I use this watercolor texture that I made myself as an overlay layer in ALMOST EVERY digital illustration that I do. I absolutely love it.

How I use this texture:

1. First I copy and paste it onto the top layer of my illustration.

2. I turn the layer to Overlay mode

3. I adjust the brightness and saturation. Usually I lower the brightness until it matches the original brightness of the colors underneath. Then I lower the saturation until I'm satisfied with how it fits the colors.

You can also adjust the hue if you'd like, although the pink and blue is my personal favorite.

4. I adjust the opacity of that layer until I'm satisfied (usually I keep it around 10-30%)
